Day 1: Fatbiking in Liesjärvi National park, ca. 30 kms, moderate
Fatbiking is a snow-season innovation and a new outdoor activity, of which Finns have gone bananas. With fatter tires and handlebars fatbikes can go just about anywhere, floating on the snow and giving people of all skill levels a new mode of exploration. In Eerikkilä you can fatbike through the forest, to Kyynäränharju ridge in Liesjärvi national park. The route goes on the top of the ridge in beautiful settings. The view over lake country is spectacular from Kyynäränharju, a sandy shored ridge, which separates two lakes.
Day 2: Trailrunning in Liesjärvi national park, self-guided, easy to challenging
Trailrunning is a holistic way to explore the Tammela upland and Liesjärvi national park and you will get your energy level boosted. Trails around Eerikkilä offers endless opportunities from easy to extremely challenging runs. The area's trails mender along lakeshores and in through forest. They are easy to run and for the most part the terrain is flat with the exception of a couple hills. The beautiful forest, lake landscapes and bird song concert offer stimulation for all your senses. Day 3: Canoeing, Ruostejärvi lake, self-guided
Eerikkilä is situated by the Lake Ruostejärvi, which is known for its exceptionally clear waters and sandy bottom. The shores of Lake Ruostejärvi are popular amongst swimmers during summer. Lake Ruostejärvi is a part of Recreation Area, which is located in the Häme Lake Uplands. You can rent canoes from Eerikkälä and head for self-guided canoeing trip to Lake Ruostejärvi. There are lean-on shelters and open fireplaces to take a break and enjoy the great outdoors. Back you swimming suit along and plunge into refreshing water.
