Fitness tests
Fitness test station offers a measuring of physical condition of both ordinary keep-fit enthusiasts and competitive athletes.
We have unique fitness tests specially developed for football and floorball players. The tests have been designed together with the coaches and experts of the Finnish Football Association and Finnish Floorball Federation. Eerikkilä is the one and only owner of the large database of these tests.
Football
The fitness test of football players is developed in cooperation with the Finnish Football Association and has been in use since 1997.
It takes approx. six hours for a 20 players team to go through the entire test and get the results in writing.
The result is based on a database containing more than 10 000 players’ testvalues.
Test contains following moments:
1. Anthropometry
- height
- weight
- fat percent
2. Maximum muscle strength
- repetition maximum in leg press (1 RM)
3. Speed
- 30 meters run from stationary position
- 10 m intermediate time
4. Coordination
- ”zik-zak” -run
5. Elasticity
- counter movement jump (CMJ)
6. Speed endurance
- 10 * 20 m run
7. Endurance/long term
- ”beep” test, 20 meters run back and forth to exhaustion following the descending tone signal
- maximal oxygen uptake (VO2 max, indirect)
Floorball
The fitness test of floorball players is developed in cooperation with the Finnish Floorball Federation and has been in use since 2001.
It takes approx. five hours for a 20 players team to go through the entire test and get the results in writing.
Test contains following moments:
1. Anthropometry
- height
- weight
- fat percent
2. Speed
- 20 meters run from a stationary position
- 5 m intermediate time
3. Coordination
- ”zik-zak” -run
4. Elasticity
- counter movement jump (CMJ)
5. Speed endurance
- 10 meter run back and forth 2 * 45 s, with one minute pause between the runs
6. Endurance/long term
- ”beep” test, 20 meters run back and forth to exhaustion following the descending tone signal
- maximal oxygen uptake (VO2 max, indirect)
